The Rails Getty Crop Wide Leg Jean is the perfect end-of-summer jeans to bring into fall. Recently, I heard someone describe August as the Sunday of summer and it hits so true. I’m looking forward to fall fashion and cooler temps, but I also don’t want to wish away the sunshine and long light days. As we stand between two seasons, what are we wearing in this transitional time? Cropped jeans, and here’s why— they work great with summer and early fall footwear (hi, sandals and easy flats), the breezy ankle length creates proportions that balance perfectly with warm weather tops (no bulk on the bottom calls for no bulk on top), and because they feel effortless and laid-back (which is a win in every season).

How do the RAILS Getty Crop Wide Leg Jeans Fit?

The Rails website recommends getting your true size in the Getty Crop, and I agree— my true size fits great. They are a high-rise style with a cinched waist, zip fly, and an 11.5 inch rise. The leg is loose with a flare to it and a cropped inseam at 27 inches. At 5’7″, you can see these hit above my ankle. I would say, if you are more than an inch-or-so shorter than me, these will likely not look cropped on you. With that said— they also have the Getty Wide Leg Jean with a full-length 31 inch inseam. So if you’re petite, I bet this cropped version would work as a full-length jean too.
What is the Getty Crop Wide Leg Jean made of?
The Getty Crop Wide Leg Jean comes in a variety of different colors, materials, and details/embellishments. The pair I’m wearing in the post are a lighter wash with whipstitch detailing. They’re made from a light-stretch denim that is 59% cotton, 40% lyocell, and 1% elastane. The jeans relax with wear without losing their shape. Some of the other colors are made of 99% cotton and 1% elastane. Your best bet it to check the details on whatever wash you’re interested in.

RAILS Getty Crop Wide Leg Jeans Outfits:
My Everyday Jewelry & Sunglasses
1.) Crop Wide Leg Jeans + Tank + Bomber Jacket + Heel Sandals

Jacket (code: MICHELLE20 for 20% off) // Tank // Jeans // Bag // Sandals
This is how I styled the jeans the very first time I wore them. I went to a casual dinner with girlfriends followed by karaoke at a small, local lounge. I grabbed the tank and sandals because it was crazy hot, but wore the jacket inside the lounge because, air conditioning. The heel sandals and classic handbag coordinate well and elevate the look.
2.) Oversized Button Down + Crop Wide Leg Jeans + Loafers

Shirt // Jeans // Tote // Shoes
The second looks feels easy and great for everyday. The oversized shirt worn casually pairs well with the jeans. The brown shoes and accessories add interest and make the look feel modern.
3.) Sweater + Getty Crop Wide Leg Jeans + Loafers

Sweater // Jeans // Bag (old from Sézane) // Loafers (old from ZARA – similar)
Look three feels classic with a striped cardigan sweater worn buttoned up as a shirt, paired with the jeans. The cream shoes and bag coordinate back to the stripes in the sweater. Overall this outfit looks put together and feels comfy.
4.) Sweatshirt + Getty Crop Wide Leg Jeans + Sneakers

Sweatshirt (code: MICHELLET for 15% off) // Jeans // Bag // Sneakers
The last look is super casual. I grabbed a white crewneck sweatshirt because I love how it paired back to the white whipstitch detailing on the jeans. From there, I added colored sneakers for more interest and an elevated brown tote for color coordination (to the sneakers) and style juxtaposition.
