If you are looking for an ultra comfy jean in a modern cut, meet the Paige Arellia Ankle Barrel Leg Jean. This style became an unexpected hero in my wardrobe. Stylistically, I enjoy branching out in denim, but I most often stick to my favorite few brands. I buy almost all of my jeans, but these I did not, they were sent to me by Paige. Since I received them, they subtly became my most-worn pair of jeans through fall and into winter. I’ve worn them more than all of the jeans I spent money on, and that really says something. I’m rarely surprised by jeans, and these surprised me.

How does the PAIGE Arellia Ankle Barrel Leg Jean Fit?

The Paige Arellia Jean fits true to size. It is a high-rise jean with a 12 1/8″ rise and a zip fly. The inseam is ankle length at 27″. They hit right above my ankle bone and I’m 5’7″. The barrel leg shape, in my opinion, is subtle. I think this jean looks more like a wide-leg jean that slightly curves in at the ankle— it’s like a hybrid of a barrel leg and wide leg style. The leg opening is 20 1/2″.

What are the PAIGE Arellia Ankle Barrel Leg Jeans made of?

The wash I have is called black void and it’s made from their heritage-inspired denim. It’s 94% cotton, 5% polyester, 1% elastane with a soft hand and hint of stretch. Mine have an undone hem, but that is not the case for all of the washes. The Arellia Jean is available in a variety of indigo denim shades and four neutral colors that look more like chinos. Be sure to click on your desired wash to check the material as there are a few different fabrications offered in this style.

This first outfit combo is one of my current favorites and most worn— a tee, jeans, and a jacket. I love to pair my black, studded Chelsea boots with these jeans. The proportions work well and the detailing feels cool and modern. I love a neutral tee with denim and then rotating different bags and jackets. This combo never fails me!

The second look is technically still part of my most beloved outfit combo, but a blazer is a very specific jacket. I love the style juxtaposition of wearing an elevated blazer with a casual tee and denim. For this look, I elevated it with gold shoes, a statement belt, and a minimal bag.

This is how I wear the Arellia jeans in a very casual way. The dark wash and shape make them easy to dress up, but it’s honestly just as easy to dress them down. I opted to front tuck the crewneck sweatshirt and I like the slip-on sneakers with a hint of ankle. The proportions work well and it’s the perfect look for the weekend.

The last look is casual chic and would work well as workwear where jeans are allowed. I like the feminine top pairing back to the cream loafer. It’s a neutral look, but the cream pops against the black denim creating contrast.
