Another year of sharing outfits, denim reviews, seasonal wardrobe essentials, and styling ideas has come to a close and I’m feeling so grateful for this space and for all of you. At the end of the year I like to look back and compile my favorite outfits worn throughout the year and the best additions to my wardrobe.
Just a reminder— you do not need this many things. As a fashion blogger, I have more clothing than I would if this wasn’t my job. The items below are a mixture of gifted products, items from brand partnerships, and things I purchased myself.

Outerwear:
Vintage Brown Leather Bomber Jacket— if you saw my reel you know that I grabbed this affordable jacket from Depop with a risky plan to revive it, and it ended up paying off.
Brown Tailored Winter Coat— I saw this on my friend, Ashley, and ended up purchasing it during a sale. It turned out to be a versatile, winning piece for me. The tailored winter coats I have are all long, so I wanted something shorter and in a brown tone. It’s a quality piece at an affordable price.
Cropped Trench Coat (similar for less)— I have the longer version of this trench coat and it’s one of my most-worn items in my closet. This year I’ve been gravitating towards cropped jackets, and this one is super high-quality and fits great.
Long Rain Coat (similar for less)— I’d been looking for a rain coat that functioned really well and also felt like my style— this exceeded my expectations. The quality is amazing, large hood actually keeps rain off your face, deep pockets hold so much that if you want to leave a bag behind so it doesn’t get rained on you totally can, and long length covers most of your clothes keeping you dry on rainy days with wind.
Green Trench Coat (similar for less)— I have this coat in camel and added it to my wardrobe in green because the fit and style are so lovely and timeless, I plan to wear them both for years to come.
Cropped Tan Jacket (I sized up, because my size was sold out) (similar)— This super affordable style sold out so quickly (I really hope they bring it back). It came in this tan and in denim and I majorly regret not getting the denim one too. It’s definitely the jacket I’ve reached for most this fall and on warm winter days.
Blazer (similar for less)— This is another high-quality piece that fits so well. I love that it’s neutral but has a print to add interest. It is really versatile, I’ve worn it with jeans, dresses, and dress pants. The fit is great and it’s feels modern without being trendy. I’ll wear it for years to come.
Tops:
Cream Crewneck Oversized Sweater— A simple piece that I was drawn to for so many reasons. I love that it’s versatile, oversized, not itchy, the perfect cream color (I don’t like when creams look too bright), feels effortless, and gives 90s vibes.
Light Denim Oversized Shirt (similar for less, similar for less)— I have this one in the darker denim and I’ve worn it more times than I can count. I decided to pick up the light wash and I’m so glad I did. The fit is great, and I love the snap buttons for easy on and off and because they make the shirt look more casual.
Cream Cropped Tee— My all-time favorite outfit base is a cream tee and jeans. This one is thick, high-quality, and I love the cut. It works really well with my high-waisted jeans and trousers.
Rib-Knit Green Top— This shirt might not look like anything to write home about but for me, it’s just perfect. I like that it is as comfortable as a t-shirt, but looks more elevated. The neckline and sleeves give it a feminine feel. The rib knit and button add interest. The cropped length hits right at my waist so it is flattering and not bulky. I ended up getting this in black and white too.
Dresses:
Brown Dress (similar for less, similar for less)— I wore this to my husband’s work Christmas party with silver sling back heels, and a faux fur jacket. It felt super classy, comfortable, and the fit is really good. I don’t usually wear fitted dresses because my top and. bottom are different sizes, but this one worked. I love the chocolate brown color.
Cream Dress (similar for less)— This dress is perfect in spring and summer. It’s ultra comfy and fits really well.
Bottoms:
Vintage Levi’s Men’s 505 Jeans— I love hunting for vintage Levi’s that were made in the USA. I grabbed a few pairs from Depop this year and I’ve loved them all. I recommend knowing your waist, hip, and preferred inseam length for ease of shopping online.
Black Wash Barrel Leg Jeans (similar for less, similar for less)— I buy almost all of my jeans. I’m pretty brand loyal to my favorites and don’t opt to stray from them easily. However, I got these jeans from a brand and to my own surprise, they are the jeans I’ve worn the most so far this fall and winter. They are not 100% cotton, and I never thought I would like a pair with stretch this much. To be honest, I’m truly windblown. haha. These are SO comfortable and I love the shape. They work well with the cropped tees and jackets I’ve been reaching for this season.
Neutral Pants (similar for less)— These are my favorite non-denim pants and I have them in three colors: black, gray, and brown. I started with the black and I truly cannot tell you how many times I’ve worn them. They are SO comfortable and can be worn with literally everything. You could do heels and a blazer. You could do sneakers are a t-shirt. I’ve posted SO many outfits with these pants, They’re an investment but, in my opinion, so worth it. They are true to size, but I went with my larger sizes so I could wear them looser and lower for added length. I’m 5’7″ and if you are shorter than me you could go with your true size.
90s Long Jean Shorts— These were out of my comfort zone, but denim in a category that I love to experiment in. I thought these wouldn’t work on my curvy shape, but they did. For me it’s do I like them and do I like how they feel, not is this cut as flattering as possible.
Belts:
Brown Belt— I loved the color, size, and texture of this one.
Black Belt— This is so beautiful. It feels like jewelry, and a statement while still being so versatile. It’s from a friend’s brand and I like to support small, female-owned brands whenever possible.
Bags:
Brown Tote Bag (similar for less)— I love that this is longer and shorter than a traditional tote, has texture, and is chocolate brown. I carry it around to coffee shops when I’m working and to kids sporting events when we will be there for hours and I need to pack snacks and such.
Brown Suede Sling Bag (code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order)— The color and texture of this bag is amazing. I love the size and the ease of a sling bag. This is from a friend’s brand. Her bags are made ethically in Africa. I love the mission of what she does and she has the best eye for picking the perfect neutral shades.
Cream Sling Bag (code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order) (similar for less)— I love the color and texture of this bag too. This is from the same brand as the brown sling bag.
Shoes & Boots:
Black Knee High Boots (similar for less, similar for less, similar for less)— I browsed tons of brands looking for knee-high boots. I ended up picking these and I have no regrets. I wanted them to be leather and a pull-on style without a zipper. I wanted to be able to dress them up or wear them more casually, and I did not want them to have a heel. This style checked all the boxes and I highly recommend them.
Brown Knee High Boots (I wear 7.5 and got 8, but 7 might have worked better as they are a bit loose) (similar for less, similar for less)— After getting the black knee-high boots, I knew I wanted a brown pair but in a different style. I wanted a flat, leather riding boot without a zipper. I wanted smooth leather that did not look too casual. I went with this pair and I am so happy with them.
Black Chelsea Boots (same without studs)(code: MICHELLE10 for 10% off your first order)— Almost every time I wear these boots, someone comments on how much they like them. I’ve worn them a ton since getting them. I love that they’re water-resistant, look super chic, and have a cool, studded detailing. This is a female-owned brand that I’ve partnered with for years and love so much. The quality, fit, and styling of everything they put out is impeccable.
Brown Suede Ankle Boots (similar for less)— I was looking for boots that felt dressy without having a heel, because I knew I wouldn’t grab a boot with a heel on a regular basis. This pair looks like a designer pair that I love, for a fraction of the price. They’re so comfortable and I really like the elongated, square toe shape. After getting the brown I immediately ordered the black as well.
Clear Jellies— I wore these out over the summer, literally. They were by far my most-worn sandal. I love how they sort of “fade away” in an outfit, not adding any color but adding subtle interest with their woven pattern.
Cream Loafers— I like how cream shoes are a versatile neutral but also pop in an outfit. I’ve gotten a ton of wear out of these shoes. Mine are from Zara, and no longer available, but I linked a super similar option that is also affordable.
