I am so excited to be sharing an Agolde 90’s Short review with you today. It’s been over three years since I’ve written a denim shorts review— crazy! I purchased the Agolde 90’s shorts feeling curious and hopeful. I like how they look but I wasn’t sure about them on me because I think they look the best worn baggy. Best I can do with my curvy shape is relaxed, baggy never sits well with my proportions.
Knowing that Agolde has impeccable fit, I knew if I would like this style at all it would be from this brand. So I went for it and ordered them. When they arrived and I slipped them on, I loved them. I thought they might be hard to style but I was able to easily put together outfits. And since photographing the outfit ideas, I’ve reached for the shorts and worn them on a few low-key days with cropped tees and flip flops. I didn’t expect for them to become a go-to pair of shorts, but I keep grabbing them. They’re so comfortable.
How do the AGOLDE 90’s Shorts Fit?

If you see something you like you can shop for the item(s) and support my blog at the same time by purchasing through the affiliate links in this post. Items are true to size unless notes. As always, I’m so grateful for your support!
Agolde’s website lists these shorts as fitting true to size. I agree that your true size will fit relaxed to baggy (depending on your shape and possibly height), which is the intended look. I think right now I’m kinda of between sizes and I went with my smaller size.
When I first put them on there was space in the waist and they fit my hips and legs (as shown in the above photos). I knew they’d be perfectly relaxed as I wore them in and they loosened up around my hips and legs. That did end up being the case now that I’ve worn them a few times— they sit a little bit lower and looser (close up photo above). If you’re petite, I would size down. For reference, I’m 5’7″. The rise is 12 1/4″ with a button fly closure. The inseam is 9″ and the leg opening is 20″.
What are AGOLDE 90’s Shorts made of?
The 90’s Short is made of 100% regenerative cotton. What is regenerative cotton? You can read all about it, here. I highly recommend you read about it— it’s a great sustainability practice.
The denim is rigid yet soft, there are no stretchy fibers added to it. It will form to your shape and relax with wear. This style is currently available in four washes on Agolde’s website. I have the vintage, marbled, light indigo wash called FORCE. They are also available in washed black, medium vintage indigo, and vintage pale worn-in indigo.
90’s Shorts Outfits:
My Everyday Jewelry & Sunglasses
1.) Oversized Denim Shirt + AGOLDE 90’s Shorts + Heel Sandals

Shirt // Bag (code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order) // Shorts // Shoes
Forever a double denim lover, I paired an oversized, denim shirt in a contrasting wash with the shorts. I accessorized with a suede sling bag, coordinating jelly heel sandals, and sunglasses. Overall this look feels laid-back yet cool.
2.) Asymmetric Tank Top + 90s Shorts + Loafers
Tank // Shorts // Bag (code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order) // Shoes (old from Zara – similar)
I love the color combo of the lighter denim with cream and chocolate brown. Here I coordinated the bag and shoes. The asymmetric top is interesting and brings style contrast against the casual shorts.
3.) Cropped Tee + AGOLDE 90’s Shorts + Sandals
Tee // Shorts // Bag // Sandals
I love a plain white tee with denim. This simple combo feels classic and always works. I added interest with elevated accessories for an overall, put together look.
4.) Tube Top + 90s Short + Jellies

Top // Shorts // Bag // Jellies
The last outfit has a modern, summer feeling with a tube top, crochet bag, and jelly flats. I’ve been wearing clear jellies on repeat lately. They sort of fade away, leaving the clothing pieces as the focus of outfits.
Thanks for checking out my Agolde’s 90’s Short review. Have you tried longer shorts this season? Is it a yes or a not for you? I’d love to hear from you in the comments below.
