We are deep into the summer season, (in fact, fall collections are already starting to come out— more on that soon) but with many hot days still ahead here in Nashville, I’m sharing my go-to summer outfit combos for 2026. I wear the simplest combos and the least variety in the summer, because it truly is so hot and humid here. My life is simpler in the summer too. I spend most of my time with my kids— swimming, hanging out, and working less.
Simple but not boring— I have fun with summer dressing by switching up my shoes and accessories, adding in colors and textures, playing with shapes and silhouettes, and using style juxtaposition. Red sunglasses? Jelly sandals? A woven yellow bag? Yep, I’ll be grabbing those. : )
How to Discover Your Go-To Seasonal Outfit Combos:
If you want to discover your go-to seasonal outfit combos, snap photos of what you wear each day (just a quick mirror selfie) and/or writing down what you wear. Then you can go over your photos/notes to find repeated combinations. Or, you can do the reverse— start with a list of combinations that you have seen and like, then create your outfits from there.
Benefits of Go-To Seasonal Outfit Combos:
- They un-complicate getting dressed and allow you to quickly make outfits you like, that work.
- You can easily repeat them. It won’t get boring because you can still be creative within the combination— it’s just a framework.
- They help you better identify and understand your personal style by highlighting what you’re actually reaching for on a daily basis.

1.) Denim Shorts & Tank/Tee

LEFT: Tank // Shorts // Bag (code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order) // Shoes (old from h&m)
RIGHT: Tee // Shorts // Bag // Sandals
You’ll find me in this outfit combo the most every summer. I’m a jeans and tee girl through and through, and this is the summer version. I add variety with different denim washes, switching up accessories, and changing up the color of my top.
2.) Statement Shorts + Graphic Tee + Sandals

LEFT: Tee (old – similar) // Shorts // Bag // Sandals
RIGHT: Jacket // Tee // Shorts (similar) // Bag // Sandals (old – similar)
I’ve been the most excited about this combo this summer. I love graphic tees and pairing them with interesting shorts feels fresh + interesting. I keep the shoes and accessories low-key because of the interest already happening in the clothing.
3.) Mini Skirt + Tee + Sandals

LEFT: Jacket (old GAP x doen – similar) // Tee // Bag (code: MICHELLE15 for 15% off your first order) // Skirt // Sandals (similar)
RIGHT: Tee // Skirt (new version) // Bag (similar color) // Sandals
The third combo can be styled casually or more elevated. It works great on super hot days. These three simple elements make for a put together look.
4.) One-And-Done: Romper/Dress

LEFT: Romper (code: MICHELLE_TOMCZAK for 10% off) // Bag (old – similar) // Shoes (similar – code: MICHELLE10 for 10% off your first order)
MIDDLE: Dress (old – similar) // Bag // Sandals
RIGHT: Dress (code: MICHELLE_TOMCZAK for 10% off) // Bag // Shoes (similar – code: MICHELLE10 for 10% off your first order)
This combo is another one I always wear. It’s quintessential, effortless summer. The shoe + accessories choices drive the outfit stylistically towards casual or elevated.
5.) Lightweight Pants + Tee + Sandals

LEFT: Tee // Pants // Bag // Sandals
RIGHT: Jacket // Tee (size up if between sizes) // Pants // Bag (code: MICHELLETOMCZAK15 for 15% off your first order)// Sandals
This last combo is one I love to reach for when I want to switch things up and not wear denim. I love a simple tee with a fun pant (interesting color, shape, or fabric). Throwing on sandals keeps this look feeling summer-y.
