On April 6th, Ezra turned one! We celebrated with a woodland-themed birthday party at our home with family and close friends. Ezzie is my little peanut. He is sweet, little and busy! He took his first steps right at nine months and was cruising by ten months. Needless to say, he is super fast now and into absolutely everything. Little man keeps me on my toes!
Our friend and neighbor, Melissa, made Ezra’s cakes. She is the best! Her cakes are insanely beautiful and incredibly delicious!
It feels really good to hit milestones with Ezra. It feels good to throw a party and watch him squish cake, for the first time, in his tiny fingers. Lucy’s first birthday was super, super hard for me. First birthdays are a big deal for parents. The first year is hard and beautiful and so much growth occurs. Your baby goes from being small enough to fit in your belly to walking, talking, eating, etc. It feels like a blink and it seems impossible to grasp that yes, that was an entire year that just passed.
So here he is, my answer to prayer, with cake squished in his fingers. He is one and I could not be more grateful to be celebrating him growing and him being here with us. Happy Birthday sweet Ezra Jack, you have our hearts!
